Krishi Jagran organized the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav,' themed "Maximize Farmers' Income for Prosperous Bharat," in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gwalior and ICAR as the knowledge partner. The discussion was held on the topic ‘Disease and Insect Management in Paddy, New Discoveries in Millet Farming and Tractor Industry and Maintenance of Tractor.’ The utsav drew a number of progressive farmers and industry experts, all committed to propelling the farming community forward with the latest practices and innovations. Dr S. S. Tomar Dean, Collage of Agriculture, Gwalior, graced the event as the chief guest.
The day commenced with participant registration, followed by a welcome address from Sujeet Pal, Social Media Head at Krishi Jagran, setting the stage for a series of insightful discussions and success stories.
In his address, Dr. S. S. Tomar highlighted that tubewell billing has decreased compared to earlier, alongside improvements in water conservation efforts. He advised farmers to use underground pipelined water supply for irrigation to eliminate losses from conveyance and evaporation.
Rohit Gupta, State Head of Mahindra Tractors in Madhya Pradesh, expressed gratitude to Krishi Jagran for the opportunity to introduce the company's products. He mentioned that Mahindra Tractors, established before independence, has been catering to farmers' needs ever since and is the first Indian company to cross the 40 lakh mark in sales.
Next, Mritunjay Nagar from Mahindra Tractors discussed the significance of tractor maintenance and industry innovations. He showcased various tractor models, detailing their features, government subsidies, and guarantees. He noted that Mahindra Tractors also provides implements along with tractors, ranging from land preparation to post-harvesting, including the Minivator, Paddyvator, and Gyrovator. Additionally, he highlighted the combo offers available in June.
Following these presentations, the chief guest distributed certificates to over 30 progressive farmers, acknowledging their achievements and contributions.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Priyanshu Singh, followed by a group photograph, marking a successful day dedicated to empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
