The Union Government has launched a special scheme to provide quality rations at affordable prices for devotees attending the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. NAFED (National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India) is facilitating the distribution of essential items such as wheat flour, rice, pulses, and more at subsidized rates. In a bid to ensure convenience, devotees can also place their orders via WhatsApp or phone calls.

As part of this initiative, over 1,000 metric tons of rations have already been distributed, and the process continues across Mahakumbh city and Prayagraj, facilitated by 20 mobile vans. These vans are designed to bring rations directly to ashrams and devotees, ensuring that no one faces food shortages during the grand event.

Rohit Jain, the state head of NAFED, explained that this scheme, run by the Ministry of Cooperation, is dedicated to ensuring that all attendees of the Mahakumbh, including saints, kalpavasis, and devotees, receive the food they need. Deepak Agrawal, the Managing Director of NAFED, is personally overseeing the operation to ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies.

Devotees at the Mahakumbh can conveniently place their ration orders by calling or messaging WhatsApp at 72757 81810. The subsidized rations available include 10kg packets of wheat flour and rice, along with 1kg packets of moong, masoor, and chana dal. Once an order is placed, the mobile vans ensure swift delivery to the relevant ashrams and pilgrims.

So far, NAFED has successfully distributed 700 metric tons of wheat flour, 350 metric tons of pulses, and 10 metric tons of rice. The high-quality products, including the popular 'Bharat Brand' grains, have gained significant attention and appreciation among the devotees.

This initiative not only provides essential rations at affordable rates but also makes the process seamless and accessible for the millions attending the Mahakumbh. With the support of mobile vans and an easy ordering system, the scheme ensures that the Mahakumbh 2025 remains a smooth and memorable experience for all.
