Madhya Pradesh Sports Academies Introduce Weekly Millet Meal for Players

On Tuesday, Scindia visited the Water Sports Academy at TT Nagar Stadium in Bhopal. She stated that the decision was made in accordance with the wishes of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. 

Scindia stated that millet crops have been designated as a nutritional grain, and that giving players with nutritious meals will help them improve their game. These crops' grains are high in iron, calcium, fiber, and other nutrients. It is worth noting that in Madhya Pradesh's Sports and Youth Welfare Department-run sports academies of various disciplines, players' diets are tailored to their sport. The players are fed under the supervision of a dietitian.

Sports Minister further stated that the decision was made in accordance with the wishes of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. She stated that millet crops have been designated as a nutritional grain, and that giving players with nutritious meals will help them improve their game.

These crops are high in iron, calcium, fiber, and other nutrients. It is worth noting that in Madhya Pradesh's Sports and Youth Welfare Department-run sports academies of various disciplines, players' diets are tailored to their sport. The players are fed under the supervision of a dietitian.

While assessing the Water Sports Academy, Sports Minister stated that the first phase of the academy would involve a talent search in around 25 districts between May 1 and 15. It will be explored to open feeder centres in the districts where more talented players will be picked through talent search. During the talent search, she stated that IQ tests, physical tests, and so on should be conducted according to age group. 

She stated that it is our duty to bring talented students to the national level. Use senior players to help train rookie players. Ravi Kumar Gupta, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare, and Instructor of Water Sports Academy were also present.
