It was a recognition that would definitely go down in the history of the Agri print media as one of the most heart-touching stories! MV Jayan, who’s a Dairy Extension Officer with the Government of Kerala based in Kannur managed to bag this award in the category of ‘Best Article in Print Media’ for the success story titled ‘സസ്നേഹം രാജലക്ഷ്മി ടീച്ചർ' or ‘With Love, Rajalakshamy Teacher’ featured in Krishi Jagran, Malayalam Edition.
J Chinchu Rani announced the award, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Milk Co-operatives, Zoos, Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Government of Kerala, at the annual State Level Dairy Fest, held recently.
The article is about a well-to-do teacher who still follows his unwavering passion for rearing cattle and marketing milk. “I feel satisfied by the recognition our writers are getting from the government on a state-level platform,” shares the Editor of Krishi Jagran Malayalam, Suresh Muthukulam. Adding further he says, “There’s a silent message that has reached the writers and farmers that work in Krishi Jagran would be rewarded with recognition and special mentions at a state level, which is a grand feat to achieve for an agriculture magazine in a state like Kerala.”
This isn’t the first time a KJ writer has bagged this State-Level Farm Media Award. Earlier too, a Dairy Farm Instructor with the Dairy Development Department, Govt of Kerala, MV Thomas had won an award for his contribution to several editions of Krishi Jagran Malayalam a few years ago.
