Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by approximately Rs. 102 with immediate effect. On Sunday, May 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder increased by Rs 102.50. The cylinder, which was previously priced at Rs 2253, will now cost Rs 2355.50.
In addition, a 5-kg LPG cylinder now costs Rs 655. Earlier this month, on April 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 250 to Rs 2,253. On March 1, the price of commercial LPG was hiked by Rs 105.

The 19 kg commercial cylinder now costs Rs. 2355.50 in the national capital, up from 2253 per cylinder previously. In Mumbai, the price of commercial LPG was raised to Rs. 2,307 per cylinder from Rs. 2,205 before. In Kolkata, however, a 19-kg cylinder would cost Rs.2,455 rather than Rs. 2,351.
At the same time, instead of Rs. 2,406, a customer in Chennai will have to spend Rs. 2,508 starting today. Meanwhile, a 5kg LPG cylinder costs Rs. 655 in the national capital right now. The price rise is due to an increase in global energy prices as a result of the Ukraine crisis and supply concerns.
However, there is some consolation that this price hike has occurred in commercial gas cylinders rather than domestic LPG cylinders. Following the assembly elections in five states, the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG have been steadily increasing.
The discounted domestic LPG cylinder price rose by Rs. 50 on March 22. Previously, there was no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders after October 6, 2021.
