Oil marketing companies have immediately cut the cost of a commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 115.50 per unit. In accordance with decreasing international energy prices, this is the seventh price cut for commercial LPG since June. Overall, prices per 19-kg cylinder have decreased by Rs 610.
A 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,744 instead of Rs 1,859 in Delhi due to the most recent price change.
From today, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Chennai will cost Rs 1,893 instead of Rs 2,009.50, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Mumbai will cost Rs 1,696 instead of Rs 1,811.50, and a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata will cost Rs 1,846 instead of Rs 1,599.00.
The cost of commercial LPG cylinders was decreased as of October 1. This is because domestic cooking gas prices were far lower than their actual costs, and now that global prices have fallen, they are at breakeven, according to sources in the industry. On the other hand, commercial LPG rates have mostly tracked prices and have risen and fallen along with changes in the value of commodities internationally.
However, domestic cylinder prices will continue to be stable. Domestic 14.2 kg liquid petroleum gas cylinder prices increased by 50 yen per unit on July 6. Previously, on May 19, 2022, domestic cylinder pricing was changed.
In the national capital Delhi, it currently sells at ₹1,053 per unit. Additionally, it sells for 1,079, 1,052.5, and 1,068.5 respectively in Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
Depending on the local VAT, rates vary from state to state.
Commercial LPG rates have generally moved in lock-step with changes in international rates since they are cost-aligned.
