The Modi Government launched PM Jan Dhan Yojana so that every Indian can take benefit of government schemes and other benefits.
Under PM Jan Dhan Yojana, anyone can open zero-balance savings account from any bank (under this scheme). Not only this, children below the age of 10 years can also be registered under this scheme. Under PM Jan Dhan Account, the beneficiary gets the facilities like savings & deposits, loans, insurance, and pension.
PM Jan Dhan Account can be linked with Aadhar to get additional benefits.
What are the Benefits?

The account holder will receive a total benefit of Rs. 1.3 lakh from the central government, Rs. 1 lakh under accident insurance and general insure of Rs. 30,000. This cover is available if the account holder is involved in an accident.

The account holder will get an overdraft facility of Rs. 10,000 and a RuPay debit card.

Schemes including Direct Benefit Transfer, Pradhan mantra Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana are also available for the account holders.
How to Link Aadhar Card with PM Jan Dhan Account?
The Aadhar card can be linked through both online and offline processes.

Mobile on which you will receive OTP
Offline Process
For offline process, carry necessary documents to the bank, and they will verify your documents and your Aadhar card will be linked to your PM Jan Dhan Account.
Online Process
You can also link it with the online process by following these steps-

Visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

Enter your ID & password to login into your account

On the home page, locate the option ‘Link Aadhar with Bank Account’ & click on that

You will be redirected to a new page

Enter your Aadhar number & click on the ‘Submit’ button

Select the bank you want to link with the Aadhar and click on the ‘Submit’ button

After this, you will receive an OTP on the Aadhar-registered mobile number

Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Submit’ button

Once you are done, Aadhar linking to PMJDY account will be processed by the bank in 3-4 days
ATM Process

Visit the ATM along with your Aadhar card

Insert card and enter the pin

Select the ‘Service’ option

Select the ‘Link Aadhar’ option

Enter your Aadhar number & re-enter the same

Click on the ‘Submit’ option
SMS Process
You can register through the SMS process also, but for this, you will need to get information from the bank as the number on which you will have to send the SMS differs from bank to bank.
