For its policyholders who have registered their policies on the LIC online portal, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has introduced its first-ever WhatsApp services. Through LIC's official WhatsApp chatbox, these policyholders can take advantage of a number of services, including getting premium information, a summary of the ULIP plan, and more.
In a statement, LIC stated that in order to use the services on the instant messaging app, policyholders who have not registered their policies online must do so first. By going to the LIC's customer site at www.licindia.in, policyholders can register their policies.
After the LIC policy is registered on the internet portal, users can use the LIC WhatsApp services by following the step-by-step instructions.
How to Use LIC WhatsApp Services?

First, save the official LIC WhatsApp number (8976862090) to your phone's contacts.

Open WhatsApp, then perform a search for and access the LIC of India WhatsApp conversation box.

In the chat box, type "Hello."

You will be given 11 options to pick from by the LIC chatbot.

Provide the option number for the service picked in your chat reply. Example 1: Premium date; Example 2: Bonus information

The necessary information will be provided by LIC in the WhatsApp chat.
How to Register Policy on LIC Online Portal?

Visit the LIC India website.

Click now to reveal the "Customer Portal" option.

Click "New user" and fill out all the fields if you are a new user.

Choose your user ID and password now, and then enter your information.

Now enter your user ID into the web portal.

Next, select "Add Policy" from the list of "Basic Services".
