The inauguration of the second phase of the Ladli Bahna Yojana, an ambitious initiative by the state government, has commenced, marking the beginning of the application process, starting from 25 July. This significant scheme, initiated this year, aims to empower women financially.
To expand its reach and impact, the eligibility criteria have been thoughtfully relaxed, enabling more women and daughters to avail of its benefits. Eligible applicants can now submit their applications at five designated locations. Through this thoughtful program led by the Madhya Pradesh government, qualified members receive a monthly transfer of Rs 1,000 directly into their bank accounts, providing crucial financial support.
Ladli Bahna Yojana Second Phase Application Process Commences
In its unwavering commitment to empowering daughters and women financially, the Madhya Pradesh government launched the Ladli Bahna Yojana on March 15, 2023. With the noble objective of providing financial strength, the scheme has already disbursed funds twice to an impressive 1.25 crore eligible beneficiaries. On the 25th of July, the applications for the second phase commenced, aiming to reach out and include those women who were previously unable to benefit from this transformative initiative.
In a recent tweet, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the reopening of registrations for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. This time, the scheme is expanding its reach to include sisters aged between 21 to 23 years, who also happen to own tractors. These eligible individuals will now have the opportunity to avail themselves of the benefits offered by the Ladli Bahna Yojana. It's noteworthy that during the first phase of applications, those who owned tractors were not considered, but now they are being actively encouraged to participate.
