KVS Admissions 2019-20: Registration for Class 2 & Above Starts Today; Check How to Apply & Method of Admission

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2019-20: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has started the registration process for admission in Class II and above except Class XI for the academic year 2019-20 today, 2^nd April 2019. The last date to apply for all the classes is 9^th April.

According to the official notification by KVS, the registration process for class II and above will be done from 2^nd April – 8 am to 9^th April – 4 pm if vacancies remain (in offline mode). For class XI application form will be issued immediately after the declaration for class X results as per the schedule for admissions 2019-20 available on the KVS website – www.kvsangathan.nic.in

Reckoning of age for all the classes will be as on 31^st March 2019 while reservation of seats shall be as per KVS guidelines available on its official website (mentioned above). For more details parents must contact the Principal of the nearby Kendriya Vidyalaya.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan admission 2019-20 would be done only on the availability of vacancies in a particular class.

Method of Admission in Class II to VII

There will be no Admission test for admission to Class II to VIII and the admission shall be granted based on Priority category system (1 to 5 or 6 as the case may be). In case applications are more than the number of seats then the lottery system would be followed in each category including single girl child quota (Class 6 onwards).

Method of Admission in Class IX

For admission to Class IX, there will be an admission test for the students and a merit list shall be prepared for every category of priority separately. Admission will be given in the sequence of priority categories, in the order of merit.

(i) Admission test will be conducted in the subjects like Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science & Science.

(ii) There shall be only 1 paper of Admission test of 3 Hours duration and of 100 marks comprising Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science and Science each of 20 marks.

(iii) Students must secure 33 percent marks in aggregate to qualify. Students belonging to ST/SC/ PH category will be eligible for admission on securing 25 percent in aggregate.

Method of Admissions in Class XI         

Admission in different streams - Science, Commerce, Humanities of Class XI for KV students will be based on aggregate marks obtained in class X exams as under:

1. Science Stream - A minimum of 60 percent marks in aggregate of all subjects.

2. Commerce - A minimum of 55 percent marks in aggregate of all subjects.

3. Humanities Stream - All students of KV if they are declared successful/pass in class X exam

Note: - If seats remain empty in class XI even after admitting the children of KV or neighboring KVs then the admissions to non - KV students may be granted on the same criteria and in the sequence of categories of priority.
