The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has begun the online registration process for admission in Class 1 today (1st March) at 8 am. Those who are interested may apply through the official website i.e. www.kvsonlineadmission.in.
The last day to apply is 19th March 2019.
For Class 2, the registration process will start from 2nd and continue till 9th April 2019. Whereas, the admission details for Class 11 will be released soon after Class 10th board results.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will declare the list of provisionally shortlisted students for Class 1 after Holi festival i.e. on 26th March while the second & third list will be displayed on 9th April and 23rd April respectively. It will publish the merit list only if any seat remains empty or available.
Eligible age for relaxation
A student should be 5 yrs old as on 31st March in the new academic year in which admission is sought for Class I.
The minimum & maximum age limit for admissions in KVs in different classes is given below: (Kids born on April 1 will also be considered.)

The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of Differently-abled students by the Principal.
Reservations in Admission
1.For Scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) category
15 percent seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and 7.5 percent seats for Scheduled Tribes in latest admissions in all the Kendriya Vidyalayas.
2.Differently-abled category
3 percent seats of total seats available in fresh admission will be reserved for Differently Abled-students according to the provisions of RTE Act, 2009 read together with Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
Fee and other concessions:

No fee to be taken from the students admitted under the 25 percent quota approved under RTE Act 2009.

Expenses owing to NCERT text books, stationary, uniform & transport can be reimbursed on submission of proper bills regarding 25% of the kids admitted under the RTE Provisions subject to the limit prescribed and availability of funds.

After the child is admitted in Class I under RTE Act, he or she will continue to enjoy all exemptions and concessions till he or she reaches class VIII.

Address proof of the parents must be provided at the time of the registration.

The employees who have the facility of fee reimbursement in their respective departments cannot claim for RTE concessions.

Step 1: You need to visit the official website – www.kvsangathan.nic.in
Step 2: In the homepage, click on the link - online registration for admissions.
Step 3: If a pop box opens or appears then click ok.
Step 4: Now, you will be redirected to a fresh page.
Step 5: There, you will have to click on new registration.
Step 6: Then click on back to instructions, read it cautiously and click on proceed.
Step 7: Now, start filling up the admission form & register.
There are 1,137 Kendriya Vidalayas/schools across the country. The candidates will be shortlisted as per the priority category. In 2018, a total of 6, 48,941 applicants had applied for around one lakh seats.
