Every Small Effort Can Save Water
Taking this program forward, Dr. Pragati Singh said that we all have to make efforts to collect water. For this, you should stop water from flowing into the drains, rather store it in such a place where it can be used properly. Apart from this, we should avoid doing paddy farming, which requires the maximum amount of water. We should make small efforts to save water.
Importance of time
Dr. P.K Pant said that it is important to do the right thing at the right time. It is high time we must understand the importance of water. But for this, we all have to work together. He further said that there are very few magazines in India that are actually beneficial to farmers. And Krishi Jagran is one such magazine, which works mainly for the farming community of the country. Dr. Pant also encouraged farmers to adopt natural farming. At last, he urged everyone to preserve water in some or the other way for future generations.
B.S Tomar, Joint Director said, “The schemes launched by the Government of India are very beneficial for the farmers and hence farmers must take benefits of these schemes.”
Tomar also said, “Even today women in rural India bring water from far-off places. Moreover, many houses do not have taps till now. In view of all these problems, the government is taking many steps gradually, so that water can be conserved for the future.”
Talking about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative, he said that unless we give freedom and education to our daughters the country cannot progress.
