The District Level Krushi Mahotsav and Farm Machinery Mela had its grand opening today at the GCD High School, Rayagada, Odisha. The event witnessed a huge crowd from across the state.
Debasish Mohanty, Chairperson, OAIC, Odisha (chief guest of the event) and Swadha Dev Singh, IAS Collector & District Magistrate, Rayagada attended the mela.
Several eminent personalities from across Odisha participated in the grand opening of the event. The mela, which is organized by the Odisha government served as a platform to bring together farmers, agricultural experts, and agricultural industrialists with Krishi Jagran as its media partner.
The Krushi Mahotsav and Farm Machinery Mela that started today will last till February 6th hence those who could not attend the grand opening today can visit tomorrow or day after.
For the holistic development of agriculture sector, the government of Odisha and Rayagada administration organizes various events, fairs and training programmes.
Improved agricultural machinery, seeds, fertilizers, and latest techniques are readily available to the farmers of the state, due to constant efforts made by the Odisha government.
The objective of Krushi Mahotsav and Farm Machinery Mela is also to tell farmers about all the latest tools, machines and equipment available in the market.
The fair will also provide agricultural machinery at discounted prices to the farmers.
Top Agricultural Machinery Distributors and Manufacturers like Mahindra and Sonalika tractors have also put their stalls in the Farm Machinery mela.
Thousands of farmers from across Odisha attended the inaugural ceremony of the Krushi mahotsav. It is assumed that the number would increase in the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
