Krishi Jagran is organizing a mega event to celebrate IYOM 2023 by unveiling a ‘Special Edition on Millets’ as well as a discussion on Millets on January 12 at their headquarters in Delhi.
Ever since the ongoing year 2023 has been declared as the International Year of Millets 2023 (IYOM 2023), the central as well as the state governments are going out of their way to promote millets across the country and the globe. While the Centre plans to conduct numerous events to deliver the superfood to the plate of every individual around the world, Krishi Jagran is set to take up the initiative via a grand event on Thursday.
Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying of India, Parshottam Rupala will be the guest of honour on January 12.
Krishi Jagran's editor-in-chief MC Dominic will commence the conference by lighting the lamp in presence of various dignitaries including Dr. Manoj Nardeosingh, Secretary General, African Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO), Uttarakhand Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi, and Dr. Ashok Dalwai, CEO, National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA).
Dr. SK Malhotra, Project Manager, ICAR (DKMA) will be presenting the inaugural speech. Dr. PL Patil, Vice Chancellor, of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Vice Chancellor of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Dr. AK Singh, and International Federation of Agricultural Journalist President Leena Johansson will also participate in the event.
Along with this, G.B. Pant Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan, Birsa Agricultural University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Onkar Nath Singh, CSK HP Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. Harinder K. Choudhary, IGAU Vice Chancellor, Dr. Girish Chandel, and many other prominent speakers will also be sharing their views on the occasion.
