Dr. Sharma while addressing Krishi Jagran focused on extension activities in agriculture and shared various means through which income of farmers can be increased comparing the Indian scenario with world agriculture conditions. He also mentioned how farmers can work for the betterment of their livelihood not only by working on field but enhancing ways and means for value addition of crops and their products which can be turned into whole business model which is really the need of an hour as well as the need of present agriculture situation in the country. Instead of waiting for rain and selling their produce in meager prices, today’s farmer should try to be an entrepreneur. Dr Sharma also explained the role of extension department in agriculture as well as media groups working in this sector.
