“Krishi Jagran is Following PM Modi's Visions of IYoM 2023” Says Parshottam Rupala

Kickstarting the International Year of the Millets, Krishi Jagran hosted “The unveiling ceremony of ‘Special Edition on Millets’ & Discussion on Millets” where Parshottam Rupala, Union Cabinet Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Govt. of India inaugurated the event and launched the 'Special Edition on Millets' magazines in 12 languages virtually.

Chief Guest of the event, Parshottam Rupala, Union Cabinet Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Govt. of India congratulated Krishi Jagran for a successful event and said that it is one of the first organizations to celebrate the Year of the Millets. Appreciating the initiative, he said, "This conference is giving the opportunity for millets to grab the spotlight at the international level. Krishi Jagran is following PM Modi's visions of IYoM 2023. India has been cultivating and consuming millet for a long time and I have seen it in my childhood as well, this is not from ancient times. I congratulate MC Dominic on training 900 farmers' journalists and being able to share their stories, problems, and success with the whole country. Congratulations to Krishi Jagran on this initiative."

"Millets have some of the best recipes and I request people to incorporate millets in their diet, not just for the health benefits but also to help the farmers an economic boost. Millets are being celebrated this year internationally, and this conference has helped promote the initiative all over the world."

About Parshottam Rupala

Parshottam Khodabhai Rupala, an Indian politician who served as the Second Modi ministry's Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy, was born on October 1, 1954. He is a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Rajya Sabha, representing the Indian state of Gujarat. He was a former minister in the Gujarati government and an ex-member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from Amreli.

About the event:

‘Special Edition on Millets’ magazine was unveiled and a panel discussion on Millets was conducted by Krishi Jagran at their headquarters in Delhi today. The conference saw the participation of some of the most influential delegates in the agriculture sector, from NITI Aayog and AARDO to FMC and NAFED. As one of the first events to kickstart the year of the millets, IYoM and its participants have successfully furthered the discussion on millets.
