"The government linked the Koppal Lift Irrigation scheme to the Narayanapura scheme and provided 1.8 tmc ft of Godavari water here," the CM said after inaugurating a conference of beneficiaries of state and union government schemes here on Tuesday. This scheme had been postponed, with the explanation that it is the scheme 'B' project."

"Nine irrigation projects were started when he was water resources minister including the Koppal Lift Irrigation scheme that was unexplored by the previous Congress Government. The government has approved the filling of 41 tanks in the Gangvathi taluk, as well as the reactivation of the Mulwadi, Chimmalagi, and Gutti Basavanna Lift Irrigation projects. The Tungabhadra scheme, Upper Thunga scheme, Singatalur scheme, and NLBC irrigate approximately seven lakh acres of land," the CM added.

"The government has been transferring benefits to people directly to their bank accounts without the threat of middlemen," the CM said, highlighting the work done for farmers.

This occurred as a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of living in the midst of people's problems and bringing schemes to their doorsteps. The Kisan Samman scheme has transferred Rs 16,000 crore to 53.43 lakh farmers, of which Rs 456 crore has been distributed to 1.57 lakh farmers in the Koppal district."

"The Yashaswini scheme has been implemented to take care of farmers' healthcare," he said, adding that a life insurance scheme had been implemented for farmers and that the government had paid the premium amount of Rs 180 crore. The revolving fund allocation has been increased to Rs 3600 crore. The Raitha Vidya Nidhi scheme was introduced to help farmers' children with their education.

"Despite the country's agricultural sector's growth, farmers' conditions have remained stable. As a result, the government has devised a number of programmes to ensure their well-being and economic advancement. The zero percent loan limit has been raised from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. Last year, the government provided a Rs 400 crore diesel subsidy, and this year, each farmer will receive Rs 10,000 to purchase seeds, fertiliser, and other agricultural inputs. Several schemes for the welfare of SC/ST and backward classes have been launched. The reservation for SC/ST communities has been increased," he continued.

Ministers Anand Singh, Muniratna, and Halappa Achar, as well as MLAs Paranna Munavalli and Basavaraj Dadesagur, were present in the conference.
