On the occasion of National Farmers' Day, also known as Kisan Diwas, PepsiCo India announced the release of a new video tribute in honor of Indian farmers. The "Dil Se Naman" video honors the crucial role that farmers have played in the socio-economic advancement of the nation.

As per a statement released by the company on Friday, PepsiCo India has developed a collaborative agriculture approach over the past 33 years that involves working with over 27,000 farmers in 14 states.

PepsiCo India has developed numerous projects for farmers' welfare under the Positive Agriculture pillar of its pep+ (pep positive) strategy, in addition to offering farmers 360-degree support tailored to the agriculture industry, it said.

The statement further added that farmer economic empowerment, digital crop monitoring, optimum irrigation, and crop rotation methods, access to clean water, and capacity building for regenerative farming practices to increase yields and lower greenhouse gas emissions are a few of these projects.

"An example of this is the award-winning PepsiCo-USAID Women’s Land Rights and Economic Empowerment program, which has provided skills and knowledge on potato agronomy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship to over 1500 women farmers since 2019", the company noted.

Another productive collaboration between PepsiCo India and N-Drip aims to assist farmers in improving water efficiency through cutting-edge crop irrigation technologies, it added.

The 'Dil Se Naman' video tribute is a sincere show of appreciation for the farming community's steadfast determination and endurance, the company said.
