The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced the admission schedule for the academic session 2024-25, spanning from Classes 1 to 11. Here's what you need to know about the registration process, eligibility criteria, and important dates.
KVS Admission: Class 1 and Class 11 Admissions
For Class 1, registration opens today, April 1, starting at 8 am, and concludes on April 15 at 5 pm. As for Class 11, registration begins ten days after the announcement of Class 10 board exam results.
KVS Admission: Balvatika Registrations and Reservation Quotas
Registrations for Balvatika levels 1, 2, and 3 will be conducted offline from today in schools. Adherence to age criteria is crucial, with children required to be between 3 to 6 years old as of March 31, 2024. Moreover, KVS adheres to reservation quotas, with 15 percent of seats reserved for SC, 7.5 percent for ST, and 27 percent for OBC categories.
KVS Admission: Important Dates to Remember
The registration process follows a strict timeline, with the registration window for Class 1 closing on April 15. Selected and waitlisted lists of registered students will be released on April 19, followed by subsequent lists on April 29 and May 8. In case of insufficient applications, a second notification for Class 1 admissions will be issued on May 7, with registration from May 8 to May 15. Registrations for Class 2 and above will be accepted offline from April 1 to April 10, with admission processes ongoing until June 29, except for Class 11.
KVS Admission: How to Apply and Essential Documents
To apply for Class 1 admission, parents can visit the official KVS websites, kvsangathan.nic.in and kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. It is essential to provide accurate details such as the child's name, parents' names, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Ensure you have the necessary documents, including the child's original birth certificate, SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable), residential certificate, service certificate of the child's mother/father, and two photographs of the child.
KVS Admission: Applying for Second Class
In case of vacancies in the second class, offline admission processes will be conducted from April 1 to April 10, with applications submitted to the principal's office of the respective school.
