Today i.e. on 4 May 2020 is the day when the women beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) account holders will start getting the second instalment of Rs 500. As per the latest news, under PM Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY), instalment of Rs.500 for the May month has been sent to the bank accounts of PMJDY women beneficiaries.
Now from today, the Banks will start remitting the 2nd instalment of Rs 500 to women Jan Dhan bank account holders.
How to get 2nd instalment of Rs 500 under PM Jan Dhan Yojana?
To avoid long queues at the bank or ATM, Debasish Panda Financial Services Secretary in a tweet stated that “Beneficiaries are requested to follow the schedule that is shared below to visit banks and CSPs. Money can also be withdrawn through ATMs and BCs".
He added, “Transfer has been staggered over a period of five days so that crowd at the bank branches can be avoided. It will help to maintain social distancing & avoid overcrowding at the banks.”

Can PMJDY women beneficiaries collect their money after 11 May 2020?
Yes, after May 11, the beneficiaries can easily withdraw their money at any bank & any day as per their convenience.
Banking Secretary Debasish Panda tweeted on Saturday that the May instalment of money for women Jan Dhan account holders is being released to the banks. "The money is completely safe and to avoid crowding at banks, people should follow the given time table for withdrawal," he tweeted.
Adding to it, the finance ministry has also requested the beneficiaries to use neighbourhood ATMs, bank Mitras for making cash withdrawals upto Rs 2,000 as far as possible & not crowd the branches. Presently, there are no charges for withdrawing money from any banks ATM.
