On Monday, Atal Dulloo, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department, inaugurated the 'Kissan Sampark Abhiyan' in the Bhadrore panchayat of Marh Block located in Jammu district, as part of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), as per an official statement.
During his speech, ACS Atal encouraged the attending farmers to take advantage of the opportunity to address their challenges and concerns. He further recommended that they establish a relationship with the knowledgeable officials and gain insights critical to their career and agricultural productivity.
The ACS has received news that a smart TV will display information on 49 agricultural and related sector schemes for three days. On Monday, 17 of these schemes were showcased to the public, with interested individuals asking questions that were answered promptly.
According to the statement, a huge number of farmers engaged in the programme, and on-the-spot registration for a farmer baseline survey was also conducted. "More than 800 farmers participated in the programme in 20 panchayats of Jammu district," according to the announcement.
"Under the Abhiyan, various schemes will be displayed during the first three days of every week, including a total of 822 pieces of training and 274 sessions until August 31, 2023, to cover all panchayats of the district and reach every farmer of the district," as per announcement.
The District Nodal Officer, HADP, resource persons, Sarpanchs and Panchs, and public representatives were also present.
