Several prominent personalities were present at the conference. Speaking at the conference, Roger Tripathi, CEO of Global Bio Ag congratulated Krishi Jagran for organizing a successful conference on Millets and said, “I want to share a big applause with everyone in this room. The new India is being recognized globally. So, we should be really proud of what we are achieving in India. Every single speaker today, including the minister, whatever they said you could feel the passion and sincerity. And this is the new India felt for the last 5-10 years. So, we should keep it going. Whether it's G20 or the International year of Millets. Let us keep this Indian leadership going globally."
He further added, "The most important thing I want to talk about is the global initiative. I remember my childhood days when I used to have Bajra ki roti and curry. We have to understand two major reasons for growing millet. Firstly, this is mostly grown by small farmers. So if you are going to make millets important in our farming, it is going to help our small farmers. Secondly, millets are the hardiest crops and I think this can support sustainable farming as well."
