The cadets of 1 Pb R&V Squadron Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated International Yoga Day with full enthusiasm in the Unit Premises. Commanding Officer of the Unit Col. S.K. Bhardwaj, ANOs Capt. Dr. Nittin Dev Singh, Lt. Dr. P.P. Dubey and the entire staff of the unit alongwith 150 cadets performed Yoga.
The cadets were the students of B.V.Sc & A.H 1st and 2nd Professional year of College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU. There was a session of one hour from 6:30 A.M to 7:30 A.M where different Yogasanas were performed.
Yoga session was instructed by Risaldar Y.B. Tiwari who is himself a trained Yoga Instructor. The instructor demonstrated the various asanas live and the cadets followed him with full devotion.
The cadets were apprised by Col. S.K. Bhardwaj about the importance of Yoga which is of utmost help in boosting one’s immunity and overall health. They were apprised that yoga act as a stress-buster in the busy schedule of studies.
The cadets were also motivated to teach various asanas to their family members and others which will help them to keep fit.
After the Yoga Session, the cadets were given refreshment of fruits which in itself was an indication towards better and healthy lifestyle.
