8th March is celebrated as International Women’s Day all across the globe. The significance of this day is to honor and recognize women's contribution to the world. Women have always played a vital role in building society.
However, their efforts and sacrifices were not always acknowledged. Through this day we celebrate and appreciate the women in our lives.
Celebration at Krishi Jagran
Krishi Jagran also celebrated this day with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration started the day before. The Founder of Krishi Jagran, M. C. Dominic, organized a small get-together for the female workers of the company. Souvenirs were also given to all the female employees of the company.
Furthermore, on the day of International Women’s Day, Krishi Jagran conducted a webinar/live interaction session at 9 am wherein all the female workers of the organization shared their experiences of working at Krishi Jagran and also about women's contribution to the agricultural sector.
Shiny Dominic, director of Krishi Jagran is a powerful, strong, and successful woman. She is one of the strongest foundation pillars of Krishi Jagran. She also took part in the webinar and addressed the participants and employees. In her speech, she mentioned the strength of Krishi Jagran which comprises of more than 60% of Female workers.
She appreciated the young and talented girls who are working in the organization and talked about the fact that Agri media is not a common career option for most women, despite this fact, female workers of Krishi Jagran are excelling in every department of the firm. She also talked about her plans for the organization like she wishes to provide the best of training to the team leaders at Krishi Jagran and make the organization one of the leading media groups.
Megha Sharma, General Manager Business development also shared her perspective. She has been working at Krishi Jagran for around 8 years. She expressed her gratitude towards Krishi Jagran and also stated that she has learned a lot from the organization.
From the production team, Vaishali Sharma and Jyoti Sharma also put forward their views and experiences of working at Krishi Jagran. They talked about the opportunities that the organization has offered them and how the organization never doubted their abilities and work skills.
The leader of the English content team, Abha Toppo also shared her experience of being a media professional and working at Krishi Jagran for the past 4 years. She feels that being a journalist it is her responsibility to work for the welfare of the farming community and that she wants to continue walking on the path of enlightening the farmers and doing great things for them.
On the other hand from the Hindi content team, Prachi Vats talked about her experience of working at the organization and said that she really appreciates, how Krishi Jagran acknowledges the ideas and beliefs of the employees and the safe environment that the organization has created for women to work.
