Union Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda lauded the interim budget during today's parliamentary session, calling it a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to rapidly propelling India towards development. Initiatives for Boosting Farmers' Prosperity:

PM-KISAN Scheme:
The minister highlighted the success of the PM-KISAN scheme, which has provided direct benefits to 11.80 crore farmers, eliminating middlemen and depositing approximately Rs 2.81 lakh crore transparently into their bank accounts.
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana:
4 crore farmers have been provided security through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, securing their crops and ensuring a safety net for agricultural losses.
e-NAM Mandis:
The establishment of 1361 e-NAM mandis has facilitated a trade volume of Rs 3 lakh crore, promoting a transparent and efficient market for farmers.
Atmanirbhar Oil Seeds Abhiyan:
Munda emphasized the significance of the Atmanirbhar Oil Seeds Abhiyan, aiming to achieve self-sufficiency in oilseeds production. The initiative includes research for high-yielding varieties, modern agricultural techniques, market linkages, procurement, value addition, and crop insurance.
Diversified Agriculture Support:
The minister highlighted the government's plan to expand Nano DAP fertilizer on various crops across agro-climatic zones and design a comprehensive program to support dairy farmers. Additionally, the promotion of fisheries includes the establishment of 5 integrated aqua parks and the continuation of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
Economic Progress and Housing Development:
Munda acknowledged the last decade's rapid progress under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, emphasizing the positive changes in the Indian economy. The interim budget aims to continue this momentum. The budget allocates resources for building 2 crore houses under PM Awas Yojana (Rural) over the next 5 years, providing housing solutions to those living in rented houses, slums, chawls, and unauthorized colonies.
Infrastructure and Healthcare Enhancements:

PM Gati Shakti Corridors:
Implementation of three major economic railway corridor programs - energy, mineral, and cement corridors, Port Connectivity Corridor, and High traffic density corridors - under PM Gati Shakti aims to enhance multi-modal connectivity and reduce logistics costs.
Ayushman Bharat Scheme Expansion:
The Ayushman Bharat scheme will be extended to all Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, and helpers, ensuring broader healthcare coverage.
Empowering Women and Rural Development:
The budget seeks to empower women through the Lakhpati Didi initiative, aiming to increase the number of beneficiaries from 2 crore to 3 crore. The success of 83 lakh Self Help Groups (SHGs) has already empowered 1 crore women.

Offshore Wind Energy:
Viability Gap Funding will be provided to harness offshore wind energy potential, contributing to India's commitment to achieving 'net-zero' carbon emissions by 2070.

Phased blending of CBG in PNG and CNG will be made mandatory, along with financial assistance for biomass collection machinery to promote cleaner energy alternatives. A new scheme of bio-manufacturing and bio-foundry will be initiated to support green development.
Healthcare Reform:
To address healthcare needs, more medical colleges will be established using existing hospital infrastructure, enhancing the healthcare ecosystem.
