India Post has officially released the third merit list for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2025. This update brings new hope to thousands of applicants who had been waiting for the next round of selection. How to Download the India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2025

Follow the simple steps below to check if your name appears in the third merit list:

Step 1: Visit the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in

Step 2: Scroll down and look for the section titled “GDS Online Engagement – Schedule-I, January 2025”.

Step 3: Click on the '+' sign next to your postal circle name.

Step 4: A new list will appear named “Supplementary List – III”.

Step 5: Download the PDF and open it.

Step 6: Search for your name or registration number using the Ctrl + F command.

Step 7: Make sure to check carefully as the list may be long and contain entries from multiple regions.

What to Do After Getting Shortlisted

If your name appears in the third merit list, the next step is to appear for document verification. Candidates must visit their respective Divisional Head offices along with the necessary original documents. The verification must be completed on or before June 3, 2025.

Documents Required for Verification

Candidates are required to carry the following documents for verification:

  1. 10th class mark sheet and certificate

  2. Birth certificate (if not mentioned in 10th certificate)

  3. Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

  4. Disability certificate (if applicable)

  5. EWS certificate (if applicable)

  6. Aadhaar card

  7. Medical certificate (from a government hospital)

  8. Two passport-size photographs

Eligibility Criteria for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025

To be eligible for selection, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Passed Class 10 (SSC) from a recognized board.

  • Age Limit: Minimum age is 18 years and maximum is 40 years as of March 3, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and EWS categories as per government norms.

  • Language Proficiency: Knowledge of the local language of the postal circle applied for is essential.

  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer skills are expected.

Selection Process

The selection process is purely based on merit. There is no written test or interview for this recruitment. The merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in the 10th standard. Candidates with higher marks and correct documentation are given priority.

If two candidates have the same marks, preference is given based on age (older candidates) and category-wise reservation rules.
