India has finally registered itself as the 61st member country to join the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ). MC Dominic, President of the Agriculture Journalist Association of India, on Wednesday, facilitated with the honour, while on a trip to attend the Master Class and the Global Congress, organised by IFAJ in Calgary, Canada.
IFAJ Executive Committee accepted the application from the Agricultural Journalists Association of India (AJAI) as President MC Dominic waves the tricolour on the stage. It is indeed a moment of pride for India to join the prestigious IFAJ. "Yes, we made it! We are the 61st member of IFAJ," said MC Dominic, President, AJAI. Corteva Agriscience, a steadfast supporter of IFAJ for the past 13 years, believes in the power of the Master Class program to enhance global agriculture journalism.
He further said, “We’re the largest democracy and I’m sure with our agriculture sector and agrarian economy growing, India’s agriculture journalism too will soon be an inspiration globally.” Mr Dominic attended the Master Class, from June 24 to 26 in Alberta, Canada as well as the Global Congress meet. This prestigious gathering, was sponsored by agricultural companies Corteva Agriscience and Alltech, brought together 17 exceptional journalists from across the globe who are dedicated to covering agriculture news. “I don’t know how to express my gratitude to the agriculture fraternity across India. We’ve come a long way,” says emotional MC Dominic.
Larissa Capriotti, from Corteva's Communications & Media Relations team, explained, "The partnership enables global agriculture journalists to participate in IFAJ's Annual Congress, engage in professional development sessions, and learn about local agricultural practices from around the world."
