Recently, a travel journalist from UK Alex Outhwaite paid a visit to India and her social media accounts prove that she had a wonderful time there. Her tour of India is like a mini guide to India’s cultural diversity, where she visited Udaipur, Kolkata, Tamil Nadu & many popular tourist destinations.

The saree-clad flower seller can be seen in the video holding a chain made of jasmine flowers in her hand and offering to tie it in Alex's hair. With a warm smile on her face, the woman speaks to the journalist before going to pin the flower string to the journalist's hair. The two's touching interaction has gone viral and has won many hearts on the internet.
Several social media users praised the journalist for her humble and warm demeanor towards the flower seller. "This was special....flowers have a special place in South India," one user wrote. Excellent empathy.... "Welcome..." wrote one user, while another added, "You both have such heartwarming smiles throughout the video."
She wrote on Instagram, "In November I spent a month in Tamil Nadu - the southeast Indian state. Tamil Nadu has a lot to offer visitors. Miles of coastline, hill stations, and tea plantations, as well as thousand-year-old temples and an emphasis on the arts. Also, the travel journalist attended the 2nd largest gathering in the world the Ganga-Sagar mela in West Bengal. She also interacted with pujaris at the Ganga-Sagar Mela and talked about the importance of this huge pilgrimage fair of eastern India. She was also seen enjoying the famous Bombay Chai (Tea) & Pav Bhaji at the beautiful Bombay Tea House which is run by the transgender community.
