Since the weather turned favorable on Monday for the monsoon to return, Uttar Pradesh and neighboring regions will receive widespread mild to moderate rain for three days starting on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the districts in the Met department's east UP division could expect a partly overcast sky with isolated thundershowers, while rainfall is expected in the west.
On Wednesday, the state is predicted to experience heavy rain that will cover a large area. On Thursday, too, similar circumstances are expected before steadily deteriorating on Friday and Saturday.
Tuesday will stay partly cloudy in Lucknow, with little chance of precipitation. From Wednesday through Friday, there will likely be little to no rain and a dramatic drop in the mercury.
The state meeting's director, JP Gupta, claimed that the state had experienced rain because of the monsoon trough's little migration to the north. It is likely to continue traveling northward toward its usual location during the next two to three days.
"The trough is an extended area of low atmospheric pressure that runs parallel to the Himalayas from Pakistan to the Bay of Bengal. It is surrounded by a stream of minor cyclonic circulations and depressions that catalyse the transformation of atmospheric moisture content into rain" he explained.
