According to the latest weather department's forecast, states in the northeast and south peninsular India are quite likely to receive mild to moderate rainfall in the coming days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted on Tuesday that a new Western Disturbance is going to bring wet spells.
On March 23 and 24, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh are extremely likely to receive isolated/ scattered rainfall/ snowfall with thunderstorm/ lightning. The state of Uttarakhand is also expected to experience similar weather on March 24.
Over the next 5 days, Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka will most likely get isolated/scattered rainfall. IMD also predicts isolated thunderstorm/lightning activity over Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, and Coastal and South Interior Karnataka over the next 3 days.
Light to moderate scattered/fairly widespread rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim over the next 5 days in the northeast.
From March 23 to 25, the region is also anticipated to witness isolated thunderstorms and lightning. On March 23 and 25, Arunachal Pradesh will also see scattered heavy rainfall.
Minimum Temperature
Minimum temperatures were significantly above normal (5.1°C or more) in numerous parts of Bihar; in a few parts of East Rajasthan; and much above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) in various parts of Sub-Himalayan India; West Bengal and Sikkim.
Himachal Pradesh West Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra, and Kutch; isolated locations in Gangetic West Bengal, West Madhya Pradesh, Koukan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, Priducherry. Kataikal temperatures are above average (1.6°C to 3.0°C)
