According to the weather department, the rainfall activity will increase because of a Low-Pressure Area that has developed over the southwest Bay of Bengal and the nearby Equatorial Indian Ocean.
IMD Rainfall Prediction
On November 11 and 12, extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema, according to the IMD.
The Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mannar, Comorin area, and along Tamil Nadu will most likely have stormy weather with wind speeds ranging from 45 to 55 kmph and gusting to 65 kmph between November 10 and November 12.
The weather conditions will remain the same from 10th to 12th November in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning is extremely likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from November 10–13.
Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Mahe will also witness similar weather activities on November 12 and 13.
On November 11 and 12, extremely heavy rain is also anticipated over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Rayalaseema, and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Fishermen warned
The IMD has also warned fishermen in all these states and asked them not to enter the sea. The fishing activity must be avoided this week, it said.
Snowfall prediction
Owing to the Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayan Region, between November 10 and 11, there is a chance of moderate rain or snowfall in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad.
On the 10th and 11th of November, moderate rainfall or snowfall is likely in Himachal Pradesh as well as Uttarakhand.
Light rainfall or drizzle is very likely to occur over Punjab, and Haryana on 10 and 11 November.
