Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that rain is expected in various states, including Punjab, Haryana, and West Bengal, today as well as tomorrow. Meanwhile, snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and other states.
The Western Disturbance is a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies that runs along long. 70°E to the north of Lat. 27°Nand an induced cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Rajasthan and the surrounding area in the lower tropospheric levels, causing scattered rainfall and snowfall, according to the weather agency's daily forecast.
Rainfall Alert
Isolated rainfall is expected across Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and East Rajasthan.
Today's weather in Uttar Pradesh is expected to be scattered to fairly widespread, with thunderstorms, lightning, and hail.
On February 10 and 11, 2022, isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall is expected across West Bengal-Sikkim & Jharkhand, Bihar & Odisha.
Meanwhile strong winds (speed 25-35 kmph) are expected over Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh.
Snowfall Alert
On 9 February, there was scattered light/moderate rainfall/snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad, as well as fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Today, isolated thunderstorms and lightning are also expected over Uttarakhand.
Light Rains in Delhi
Rain fell on the city overnight, despite the fact that the minimum temperature on Wednesday was 12.8 degrees Celsius, four degrees higher than the season's average.
