IMD Issues Red, Orange Alert for These States Till 17 Sept; Check Detailed Forecast Here

The weather department has issued orange alert for heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, northwest Madhya Pradesh, northeast Rajasthan, Gujarat, ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa from 15-17 September.

The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) said that extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are expected from September 15 to 17 across Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Rainfall is also likely in northeast Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh and the Gujarat today.

The ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa will also receive very heavy rainfall during 15-16 September.

The weather department has issued orange alert for heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, northwest Madhya Pradesh, northeast Rajasthan, Gujarat, ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa from 15-17 September.

Additionally, a red alert has been issued for very heavy rainfall expected in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on September 17.

Heavy rain is predicted for northeast Madhya Pradesh on September 15, for northwest Madhya Pradesh on September 15 and 16, and for Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh on September 18.

Today, there will be moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning throughout Haryana, East Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, over Bihar on 15 and 16 September as well as over Himachal Pradesh on September 16 and 17.

Similar conditions have also been predicted for the Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Gujarat Region, Odisha on September 15, Chhattisgarh on September 18, the Konkan and Goa region, and the ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra and the Konkan from September 15–17.

Moderate rainfall on September 15–16, with isolated heavy rainfalls, thunderstorms, and lightning highly likely throughout Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Mild rainfall activity is predicted to occur over South Peninsular India over the next 5 days.
