According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the depression over the southern coast of Odisha may move towards the northwest, which will bring heavy rainfall to West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh over the next three days as well as to Gujarat and Maharashtra for 5 days.
The IMD has issued an Orange Alert for the Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, East Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
Extremely heavy showers will occur over Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, the Gujarat region, the ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, and East Madhya Pradesh.
Besides, there will be heavy rain in a few isolated places over Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Saurashtra & Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka.
Thunderstorms along with lightning is likely over Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gujarat state, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu,

Squally weather, with winds gusting to 60 kmph, is very likely across the coasts of Goa, Maharashtra, the adjoining east-central Arabian Sea, the northwest and adjoining the west-central Bay of Bengal, as well as the north and off the coasts of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal.
Therefore, it is suggested that fishermen avoid fishing too deep in these waters.
