Division of Agronomy at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Young Professionals and Senior Research Fellows under the CSR-funded project aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing the environmental footprint of predominant cropping systems in India.
The project, titled "Evaluation, outreach and up-scaling of fermented organic manures for sustainably enhancing productivity and reducing environmental footprints," offers six temporary positions—two for Young Professionals and four for Senior Research Fellows. These positions are purely contractual and co-terminus with the project duration.
For the Young Professional positions, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc., or B.Com), with desirable qualifications including experience in field experiments and proficiency in soil and plant nutrient analysis, along with computer skills for data analysis and report writing. The selected candidates will receive a fixed emolument of Rs. 30,000 per month. The maximum age limit for candidates is 40 years.
The Senior Research Fellow roles require candidates with a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Agrochemicals, Material Science, or relevant subjects. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree of 4/5 years duration followed by a Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and at least two years of research experience. Desirable qualifications for this role include expertise in fertilizer behaviour and knowledge of enriching manures with inorganic and organic fertilizers. The emoluments for these positions will be Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA, with an upper age limit of 40 years.
The other Senior Research Fellow position requires candidates to have an M.Sc. in Agronomy or Soil Science, with additional skills in conducting field experiments and analyzing soil and plant nutrients. Knowledge of computer applications, statistical analysis, and report writing is also desired. Like the previous position, the emoluments for this role are Rs. 37,000 plus HRA, with the same age limit.

The walk-in interview will take place on February 5, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM at the Division of Agronomy, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. Applicants must arrive by 9:30 AM for verification of their documents, and those arriving after 10:30 AM will not be considered for the interview.
