The Division of Genetics at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute is inviting applications for the positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Project Associate-II. These positions are part of externally funded projects and are proposed on a contractual basis until March 31, 2025.
The interviews for these roles will be conducted online. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications in the prescribed format, along with self-attested scanned copies of their original documents, to the email address [email protected] by June 30, 2024.
The positions available include one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in an ICAR-funded project focused on mapping novel genes and QTLs for resistance and tolerance to various stresses in crops such as rice, wheat, chickpea, and Indian mustard. Additionally, there is one position for either an SRF or Project Associate-II in a DBT-funded project aimed at characterizing chickpea germplasm to enhance genomics-assisted crop improvement.
The screening process will involve reviewing the applications, and selected candidates will receive details about the interview, including the date and time, via email. Candidates must ensure that all original documents are available for verification during the interview. Any false claims discovered later will result in the immediate rejection of the candidate's application.
The age limit for these positions is a maximum of 35 years, with age relaxation of up to five years for SC/ST candidates and women, and up to three years for OBC candidates. These positions are temporary and will initially be filled until March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension based on the candidate's performance or the project's duration.
