The National Testing Agency (NTA) said that it will conduct the all-India entrance exam for undergraduate programmes in the field of agriculture on 7th and 8th September 2020.
It is important to mention that this exam was scheduled to be held in June. But, it was postponed due to nationwide lockdown because of Covid-19.
The NTA on 20th August had released the schedule for all India entrance exam for Undergraduate (UG) programme in agriculture. It said, “The downloading of admit cards indicating roll number, centre, date, shift & time of examination will start about 15 days before the date of exam on the respective official websites of these examinations.”
The ICAR has also confirmed that the entrance examination for undergraduate programmes in agriculture would take place in the month of September. But the dates for the Post-graduate (PG) and PhD programmes are yet to be announced.
Sources said that due to Covid-19 pandemic, the exam has been planned in shifts on 2 dates so that students can maintain social-distancing during the online examination & avoid long travels.
The dates for downloading of hall tickets or admit cards and declaration of result will soon be announced by the NTA on its official websites — www.nta.ac.in and https://icar.nta.nic.in.
As many as 1,97,837 students will appear for UG programmes in agriculture in different universities. The NTA has set up about 178 exam centres for the online test.
