In a notable development for citrus cultivation, ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute (ICAR-CCRI) in Nagpur has entered into an agreement with Mahadhan Agritech Limited in Pune for contract research. The collaboration focuses on conducting field trials for a new water-soluble fertilizer formulation designed by Mahadhan Agritech Limited, targeting mandarin orange cultivation.
The agreement marks the culmination of efforts initiated during the CCRI-AiM 1.0 (ICAR-CCRI Agro-industry Meet) held on March 11-12, 2024. Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director of ICAR-CCRI, highlighted the genesis of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Agro-industry Meet, where both parties laid the groundwork for collaborative research.
