ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Kolkata, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bengal-Jharkhand Development Cooperative Ltd. (BENJHARC) to empower rural communities. This collaboration aims to disseminate advanced technologies, promote innovative fish farming techniques, implement scientific management practices (MPs), and foster aquaculture-based livelihoods to enhance production and productivity in the fisheries sector.
Dr. Pradip Dey, Director of ICAR-ATARI, and Subhoday Pandit, Chairman of BENJHARC, formalized the agreement, signifying a shared commitment to transforming rural economies. The partnership will focus on addressing critical challenges in fish and aquaculture production by combining cutting-edge research with grassroots-level implementation.
