IAT Result 2025: Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have officially declared the results of the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their scores and download their rank cards from the official website, iiseradmission.in, by logging into the application portal using their registration number and password.
The IAT 2025 was conducted in a computer-based format on May 25. The test comprised 60 multiple-choice questions across four subjects, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, with 15 questions from each. The total duration of the test was 180 minutes, and candidates were awarded four marks for each correct answer while one mark was deducted for every incorrect response.
To be eligible for a rank, candidates were required to score at least one mark in the exam. However, it is important to note that obtaining a rank does not guarantee admission. The final selection will depend on various factors, including seat availability, rank, preference of programmes, and category.
These ranks will be considered for admission into the five-year BS-MS dual degree, four-year BS, and BTech programs offered by IISERs at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati.

What Next?
With the results declared, the next step in the admission process is counselling. IISERs will open the academic preference form from 5 PM on June 26 to 5 PM on July 3. During this window, candidates must fill out their preferred programmes and institutions. Based on seat availability and merit rank, IISERs will release admission offers to candidates.
Once an offer is made, students must either accept or reject it before the deadline. Those who fail to respond will be disqualified from further rounds of counselling. Hence, timely action is crucial for all qualified candidates.
