About Partition Horrors Remembrance Day:

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is a national memorial day observed on 14 August in India to commemorate the victims and sufferings of people during India's partition. The day commemorates the hardships endured by many Indians during the partition.

Several families were uprooted, and many people died as a result of the partition. It seeks to remind Indians of the importance of removing social divisions and disharmony, as well as to strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony, and human empowerment. The partition had displaced 10 to 20 million people and killed between 200,000 and 2 million people.

This day will not only inspire us to rid ourselves of the venom of discrimination, animosity, and ill will, but it will also strengthen unity, social harmony, and human sensibilities.
