Patel addressed on the occasion of inauguration of 'Hunar Se Rozgar' Exhibition at Sardar Vallabhbhai Agricultural University. He interacted with skilled agricultural women and praised their work. The Governor commended the daughters in his speech, saying that they are proving their worth in every profession today.
The Governor examined handicrafts made by women, pickles, marmalades, lamps made of cow dung, wall hangings, jute goods, and other items at the stall in the 'Hunar Se Rozgar' exhibition at Agricultural University.
During this, she was joined by State Agricultural Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Sanjeev Balyan, and KP Malik. The Governor also met with and praised the skilled farmer women of Uttar Pradesh.
“Women who were imprisoned at home until 10-15 years ago are now working at par with men,” said Governor Anandiben Patel in her address. Sakhi Mandal was established in Gujarat in 2003. Subsequently, Sakhi Mandal proven to be extremely effective.
“Mothers may not have been able to receive an education, but daughters are moving forward and better their economic situation with their abilities,” added the Governor. “I am also the daughter of a Gujarati agricultural family. I've also worked in agriculture for 25 years. We used to care for animals. I used to go to the field at 4 a.m. and work extracting cumin seeds. He was also in charge of seeding and harvesting millet and wheat. It's not that an educated girl can't farm. To enhance the family's income, one must step forward.”
“There are 42 universities in Uttar Pradesh,' he remarked. When I attend to the initiation ceremony and hand out medals, I see that 80 percent of the daughters have received medals. Only 20% of sons have received medals.”
The Governor also travelled from Agricultural University to CCS University. She inaugurated the Art Gallery, Studio, and Yoga Center there.
