The beginning of the new year has brought significant and auspicious developments for Chhattisgarh. In a noteworthy event for the literary community of the state, and particularly for Bastar Kondagaon, Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, a senior litterateur, was honored on the occasion of World Hindi Day. Recognizing his long-term and distinguished literary contributions, five prominent personalities from across the country bestowed this prestigious award upon him.
The esteemed award was presented by Greg Pardo, the Spokesperson of the US Embassy of India, Rajendra Pratap Singh, Chairman of Yogayatan Group, and senior journalist and story writer Dr. Sudarshana Dwivedi. Dr. Tripathi, who has recently earned a doctorate in the 'Traditional Medicine System of Ganda Community' in the tribal villages of Bastar, is being celebrated for his groundbreaking research on the Ganda caste.
During the ceremony, special medals and shawls were also awarded to other notable individuals, including Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MP Manoj Kotak, MLA Rajhans, former Home Minister Kripa Shankar, and Santosh Singh, the President of Uttar Bharatiya Mahasangh. The program commenced with the soulful rendition of the Saraswati Avahana song by renowned folk singer Suresh Shukla.
Ashutosh Rana, a distinguished personality, graced the occasion with an eloquent address and recited his popular poem on Krishna upon request. Rana expressed his interest in organic and herbal farming and pledged to visit Dr. Tripathi's herbal farm in Kondagaon. Greg Pardo, the US embassy counselor, delivered a surprising speech in impeccable Hindi.
In a moment of reflection, Dr. Rajaram Tripathi challenged the politicians, emphasizing the vast disparity between their words and actions regarding Hindi. He highlighted the unfortunate neglect faced by both the Hindi language and the farmers, despite being integral to the majority of the country. The scholars and participants from across the stage and the nation resonated with Dr. Tripathi's sentiments, expressing support with loud cheers.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including President Aditya Dubey, General Secretary Vijay Singh Kaushik, Raj Kumar Singh, Akhilesh Mishra, Dinesh Singh, Surendra Mishra, Sonu Shrivastav, Captain Mali, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Balwant Singh, Ramakant Singh, Mukesh Seth, Om Prakash Singh Chauhan, Mithilesh Singh, Deepak Singh, among others. In concluding remarks, the institution's treasurer, Surendra Mishra, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants.
Dr Rajaram Tripathi, a farmer who makes over Rs 25 crores a year, won Krishi Jagran's Millionaire Farmer of India Award, sponsored by Mahindra Tractors. He has been renowned for his pioneering work and embarks on a seven-day trip to Brazil sponsored by APEXBRASIL, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Brazil Government.
