Each Indian citizen is given an Aadhaar, which is a 12-digit unique identity number, by the Unique Identification Authority of India. How to update Aadhaar:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Date of Birth

Users must contact their local Aadhaar Card Seva Kendra if they want to modify any other details. Users may modify their registered mobile number, biometrics, and other information from the centre.

The process to update details online:

  • Holders of an Aadhaar card may update their information on the Aadhaar Update Portal, including their name, date of birth, address, and other facts. They must choose the 'Proceed to Update' option after going there.

  • After that, customers must provide a captcha and their 12-digit unique Aadhaar card number.

  • Users will get the option to send OTP to their registered Mobile number as soon as they have input their Aadhaar number and captcha. Clicking on it will need them to input their OTP and log in to the website.

Method to update Aadhaar by visiting Aadhaar Enrollment Centre:

  • After visiting the Aadhaar Enrollment Centre, the correction form must be filled out by the Users.

  • After filling out the form, attach the necessary documents. Users can also take help from a staff member available at the Aadhaar Enrollment Center to know more about the necessary paperwork.

  • Submit the form at the Aadhar Card Center.

Documents required to change Date of Birth:

Users must present any of the supporting papers listed on the UIDAI list in order to update the date of birth on their Aadhaar Card.

The list of required documents is given below:

  • Service photo identity card issued by, Central Government/State Government/UT government/PSU/Banks

  • Photo ID card with DOB, recognized by Recognised Educational Institutions

  • Birth Certificate

  • Passport

  • PAN card/e-pan

  • CGHS/ECHS/Mediclaim card issued by Centre/State/UT Governments/PSU with photo

  • Valid Long-Term Visa

  • School Leaving Certificate/Transfer certificate

  • Central/State Pension Payment Order

  • Transgender ID Card

  • Mark sheet issued by recognized Government Board or University

Certificate of Identity having Name & DoB issued on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update by:

  • Gazetted Officer Group ‘A’/ EPFO officer

  • Recognized Educational Institution signed by Head of Institute
