The preliminary examinations for the selection of Office Assistants and Officers in the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) will end this week. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection popularly known as IBPS conducts the exam all over India. It must be noted that this is the 8th edition of the IBPS RRB exam.
In this recruitment drive, IBPS shortlists applicants for various posts including Office Assistant, Officer scale 1, Officer scale 2 and Officer scale 3. For Officer scale 2 and 3 posts, there will be a single exam and for other posts, there will be two exams.
Also there will be no personal interview round for the Office Assistant post.
Tips to prepare for IBPS RRB Main Exam
As the prelims are about to conclude this week, candidates must start preparing for the Main examination. Usually the main exams are comparatively tougher than the preliminary examination hence candidates must do thorough preparation. The best way to prepare for IBPS RRB Clerk/Office Assistant and Officer Exam is by solving last 5 years question papers. You can refer any good writer’s book/guide. Nowadays, many websites also provide online study materials for the applicants.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection had scheduled the exam for Office Assistant and Officer scale 1 posts over a span of six days in various shifts. The exam will end on 25 August.
The result for the Officer scale 1 prelims is likely in August (last week) while the result for Office Assistant post would be announced next month (September).
On the other hand, the online examination for Officer scale 2 & Officer scale 3 posts and the main exam for Officer scale 1 posts will be held on 22 September 2019. The online main examination for Office Assistant will be conducted on 29 September.
The provisional allotment for all the above-mentioned posts will wrap up in January next year.
