The two most crucial documents for your financial transactions and identity proof are your Aadhaar card and PAN card. These two records help the Income Tax Department maintain track of your financial transactions. As a result, it's critical for everyone to link their PAN card and Aadhaar card.
By connecting these two documents, you provide the government access to your financial activity and protect your PAN card from deactivation.
The Government of India has made it necessary for all citizens to link their Aadhaar and PAN cards in accordance with the new regulations. It was possible to do this until March 31, 2020. The cutoff date for merging your PAN card with your Aadhaar, however, has lately been extended till March 31, 2023.
It is easy to file income tax returns, open a bank account, buy/sell financial assets, register a stock trading account, and do other tasks when your Aadhar and PAN are linked.
