Mr. Gaje Singh, from Village: Nagli, Block: Radaur, District: Yamunanagar, Haryana, has been a progressive farmer for many years. Due to unseasonal rains and uncertainty of the monsoon season, Mr. Singh has suffered severe agriculture losses in the past.
In 2020, he was apprised of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana scheme and the benefits it offers in case of such uncertain losses. Mr. Singh told said, “In 2020 during the Kharif season, I had taken insurance from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance for financial protection in case of losses to my crop.However, my crop was damaged due to water logging and inundation. Survey for my crop was done on time and subsequently received my claim on time as well. In this process, the Farmitra app launched by Bajaj Allianz General Insurance proved very helpful since it saved my time going to banks or other offices multiple times in order to get my claim amount.I also used to check my claim regularly on the Farmitra app which is very easy to use. I urge all my farmer friends to use the Farmitra app for their own benefit.”
