Krishi Jagran's commitment to the welfare of farmers was evident with the success of the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' powered by Dhanuka Agritech in Solapur, Maharashtra on March 07, 2024. With over 200 progressive millionaire farmers in attendance, the event proved to be a platform for knowledge exchange and empowerment.
Farmer First
The event, hosted at KVK - Mohol in Solapur, symbolized Krishi Jagran's 'Farmer First' initiative, where the spotlight was on the farmers themselves. Anil Deshmukh, an MFOI farmer, kicked off the event by sharing his success story, setting the tone for a day focused on agricultural innovation and growth.
Experts on Maximizing Farmers’ Income
Expert speakers enlightened the audience on various aspects of modern farming techniques. Dr Pankaj Madavi, Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) at KVK-Mohol, talked about Disease & Pest Management in Sugarcane, offering valuable insights to mitigate risks and enhance yields. Ramdas Ukale, Zonal Marketing Manager at Mahindra Group, shed light on tractor maintenance and industry innovations, crucial for efficient farm operations.
Dr Swati R Kadam, Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy), KVK-Mohol, shared her expertise on millet farming, emphasizing sustainable practices for diversifying crops and boosting income. Ghanshyam Ingle, Subject Matter Expert from Dhanuka Agri Tech Ltd., provided valuable guidance on crop care, equipping farmers with essential knowledge for optimal yields.
The event also provided a platform for experts like Prakash Chaure, Director of Loknete Sugar Factory, and Dr T R Walkunde, Programme Coordinator of KVK-Mohol, to share their insights on enhancing agricultural practices and farmer prosperity.
Acknowledging Millionaire and Progressive Farmers
Acknowledging the achievements of exemplary farmers, the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' felicitated several millionaire and progressive farmers with certificates of appreciation. Mallinath Virbhadra Khadde, Rajay Shantaram Kashid, Kiran Doke, and Vasudev Bhaskar Gaikwad were among those millionaire farmers honored for their contributions to the agricultural sector. Pratap Kadam, Vivek Mane, and Rajaram Dattu Bhangire were among the progressive farmers who were felicitated at the event.
Moreover, horticulture farmers Samadhan Bhosale and Anil Tukaram Deshmukh received 'MFOI' trophies along with certificates of appreciation and gift kits from Dhanuka, highlighting the organization's commitment to nurturing talent and innovation in farming.
The event also witnessed Mahindra Tractors showcasing its latest lineup of tractors aimed at empowering farmers in Solapur for their agricultural development.
