A lady was killed and six people were critically injured in a landslide on the outskirts of Shimla city on Wednesday, according to a senior state disaster management official.
While flash floods triggered by a cloud burst are believed to have feared washed away at least four people in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district.
Despite rescue teams being sent quickly, the senior State Disaster Management official noted that they are currently caught in the middle of a landslide.
"Flash flood hits Manikaran valley of Kullu district due to heavy rainfall, dozens of houses and camping sites damaged in Choj village," said SP Kullu Gurdev Sharma.
Following the cloud burst in Chojh village in Challal panchayat at approximately 6 a.m., four to six people have been reported missing.
The injured have been admitted to a hospital here.

He said, using information from the Kullu District Emergency Operations Centre, that at least five livestock have also been lost in the flash floods.
