Weather Update: After a delay of more than one month, the Southwest monsoon has finally commenced its withdrawal on 10th October (Thursday). The monsoon 2019 has remained the longest season ever.

According to Skymet Weather (private weather forecaster), the monsoon will now start withdrawing from the Northwest & Central parts of India including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand & Chhattisgarh in the 3rd week of October.

On the other hand, the air quality in the National Capital, which, as of now, is moderate, is expected to worsen if monsoon withdrawal from northwest India stretches to the end of October, according to weather officials. An official said that “The late monsoon withdrawal is not good for air quality in North India. In the third to fourth week of October, the temperature will also start to cool”. Weather in Delhi will remain cloudy on Friday with chances of light rainfall in the weekend. Likewise Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh can also witness scattered rainfall on Friday.
